All the parts of speech must be referenced at least one

You will be testing them on each other and M. Boylan and will also be tested, so do not make it too hard or too easy!

A friendly reminder for parents in terms of "homework", I often assign lots of different assignments such as math and give time in class to do them, however, sometimes it does not get completed in class by every student. They can do the math at home but it is to improve their understanding. IF they do not get it at all don't waste time forcing it, that is frustrating for all involved. Likewise if it is too easy. The best thing that can be done is to ask students what exactly they don't understand and have them write out a question such as why does 200+30+5 is the same as the symbolic form 235? I'm trying to provide as many tools to improve their learning as possible please work with your child and myself to figure out which ones are useful and which ones are not.


English please start with the Flashcards that explains the parts of speech then try matching, followed by learn and finally test yourself. There is one more game if you really want to challenge yourself. Please try all of them by Thursday the 21st.

On a piece of paper to hand in Friday please write the terms conclusion, hypothèse, observation, prédiction, marche à suivre, matériel and what order they should be in terms of the scientific method. Please write a definition for each of them, you can use online tools such as google translate, the games, dictionary. For Friday the 22nd. This will look like:
1) Hypothesis - an idea that you can test... 2)......etc.... Except all in French. No experiments needed.


Create a presentation that gives a short presentation about yourself, be as creative as you would like. Please feel free to use drama, sing it, play charades, do an electronic presentation (such as powerpoint), or make a work of art. Here is the link that explains the assignment. This is due for Friday the 22nd.

Example de méthode scientifique

Hypothèse
Si je prends quelques substances pures (l'huile, l'eau, le colorant, et Alka-Seltzer) et les mélanges ensemble donc sa formera un mélange hétérogène et ça ne crée pas un mélange homogène.

Prédiction

Ma prédiction est que l'eau et l'huile va se séparer, le colorant va pas se mélanger à cause de l'huile et l'Alka-Seltzer va faire une réaction chimique. Les bulles de colorant vont être transporté dans le mélange hétérogène comme une espèce de lampe à lave.

Matériel
250 ml de l'eau,
Une bouteille plastique
250 ml d'huile
1 tablette de Alka –Seltzer
1 ml de colorant (2-5 gouttes)


Marche à suivre 

1.      Ajoute 250ml d'eau à  la bouteille plastique
2.      Ajoute 250 ml d'huile à la bouteille plastique
3.      Ajoute 2-5 gouttes (1ml) de colorant à la bouteille d'eau
4.       Brise la tablette de Alka-Seltzer en plusieurs morceaux
5.      Ajoute les morceaux d'Alka-Seltzer à la bouteille d'eau
6.       Ferme la bouteille avec le capuchon
7.      Observe

Observations
Je vois quand j'ajoute l'huile avec l'eau ils se séparent lentement, je peux voix l'eau claire et l'huile jaune. Il n'y a pas de sens, chaleur, son. Je ne les touche ni goûts pas. Quand j'ajoute le colorant à l'eau, l'eau change de couleur à celle du colorant. Sa rassemble à une chose uniforme. J'ajoute l'Alka-Seltzer et il y a l'eau et le colorant qui bouge rapidement dans l'huile mais, cela en l'air toujours comme deux choses séparent.

Analyser / Conclusion

En conclusion mon hypothèse était correcte à propos de l'eau et l'huile,  les deux substances pures mélange ensemble et crée un mélange hétérogène. Je me suis trompé avec mon hypothèse que le colorant et l'eau formeraient un mélange hétérogène. En réalité j'ai observé qu'il a formé un mélange homogène. L'Alka-Seltzer a créé une réaction chimique mais, ça n'a pas changé les mélanges hétérogène ni homogène.
